My daughter graduates from Army boot camp on Friday Aug 23rd as she completes the Va National Guard requirements. Then she'll be off to college on Tuesday to begin her Sophomore year and her second year in the ROTC unit.
By the time she enters the Army as an Officer, she'll be pretty well rounded having served as an enlisted person and going to school with no one to push her.
I'm pretty excited for her, she's doing all the right things right.
Thanks for your indulgence my friends, just more shameless boasting.
My wife got to see her graduate and while she was there, she purchased a DVD of their entire boot camp experience. $10.00 well spent!!
Watching this for the second time still makes me tear up with pride. The Army has their chit together, turning young everyday people into heart breakers and life takers.
I could probably wax on and on, trying for something poetic but your latest post says it all---pride in a child's accomplishments is something to share!

Stolen from Heart Break Ridge of course.
Congrats bro!
My mom bought the DVD of Infantry graduation. She gave it to me a few weeks ago. Got home, popped it in, and it was a DVD of my brother football game from 7 years ago Guess it got swapped.
I remember talking to you on the phone about VA benefits. I was really disappointed when I did the research and found out there was nothing. I'm very happy for ya'll.
