Where's Big Ken? Check the NE Chapter, send him a PM...
I just tried. Not sure if I'm blind, but I can not find the PM link anywhere. There is no mention of PM anywhere in my user CP either. On most forums its pretty obvious. Can someone let me know what I'm missing?
Have talked with the managers. They were less interested and harder to get ahold of than the salespeople. Thanks for the info on the PM's. Can someone let BigKen know about this thread if they think he might have some info for me. I see he is in Greenfield. I did call Ford of Greenfield as they are one of the dealerships that are associated with a VW dealership. (Fathers and Sons VW in West Springfield.) They quoted me auction price and got me off the phone quickly... I'm seriously considering the dealer in MD that Scott refered me to. I would drive that far to get the right deal and decent customer service. It doesn't seem I should have to though.
So far Seattle and Texas are my best options. Time for a road trip I guess.
we also have a VW/ Hyundai store.
I asked my GM last night if I could put this together, he said anything is possible but to be mindful shipping a truck across the country gets a little expensive.
not sure about the trade in.
I don't know enough about sales to comment more, but I'm sure they would want to see the trade in and the order spec's for the truck.
if it doesn't work out for you let me know and i'll see what I can do.
Something to consider,,Customer Service. If they aren't interested in selling you a truck, would you want to take it to them if you have a problem? You're ready to spend $40,000 and they aren't interested? Find somebody that is, that's my suggestion.
When you visit a dealership with the intent to order, be sure to ask for the Fleet Manager. The lot salesmen have no interest in helping you, and even his manager may not have any incentive. The fleet manager does. If they don't have a fleet manager, you are in the wrong store.
Call Tasca or Fall River Ford. Both dealers have a truck division that sell bigger commercial Fords like 650's and 750's. They will order you a truck in a heartbeat.
