Has anyone figured out how to eliminate the auto locking hubs from locking when putting her in 4x4 low or high? My delivery van was totalled by one of my employees and I am now need to have one of my employees drive my truck. He needs to make deliveries on one of those very steep San Francisco hills and my clutch is getting that burning smell when he gets back. So I thought maybe if I can get it into 2x low he wouldn't burn up my clutch. This is for the ESOF system.
Unplug the hub solenoid that opens the vacuum valve to the hubs, or unplug the vacuum lines off the hubs and plug the lines so your air vent controls will work.
Thanks guys. Seems more simple than I thought. I like the full power towing switch. Looks full proof.
So where exactly is the vacuum solenoid and the electrical connector?
Would it work if you took the power to the auto hub solenoid through a relay controlled by one of your upfitter switches? I'm thinking normal operation (4x4) through normally closed contact on the relay, then when you put power to the relay, it drops out the auto hubs but the transfer case will still pull in with the 4x4 switch. Sound do-able?

Sorry, not that familiar with the newer trucks, mine is mounted on the fender well on the right side.

Sounds like it should work fine, turn off the soleniod, turn on the ESOF and it should work.
