1958 heater core

i am in need of a heater core for my 58 truck.i thought a while back i saw a post of using a 1973-1979 heater core and having to add some hose for it to come through the firewall.i have searched but have come up with nothing.if some one has any info. on this swap i would appreciate it.thanks,and have a great day. stony

Do you have the original? They can repair it at a radiator shop.

If not and you need to buy a new one, here is a link to some folks that should carry one. My 51 core was made by Proliance.

I think it was a 73-79 with AC that would work but one of the members extended the tubes so it would fit thru the firewall and would be easier to attach the hoses. I will look around.
