Looks like a good start. Unless I'm mistaken you should have a 9" rearend already.

Thanks Bememe and Petey shoes. The plan is to do a complete frame off resto. Keep the staight axle with toyo pwr steering, tilt wheel, and either a 302 or 351 with a c4 or c6 tranny. Convert it to 12 volt with new gauges and such. I'm gonna attempt as much of the body work as I can. As for the welding and other metal work I might have to farm it out to a local shop. I'm looking at redoing the bed myself. The brakes will stay drum all around but maybe later I''ll change to disc. So far thats all I have planned at the moment. I'm still making my list and checking it twice.

I don't want to sound like a broken record but your truck should be 12 volt already. Guys correct me if I'm wrong??? Just want 55fe off to the right start.
