250 dually?
hey y'all , with in my travels i have came across a 80-86 F250 single cab dually bed. now it looks factory,our driver said he worked for ford and said it was a option,but i never heard of that , is that true?

Hi, I use to work at ford back in the 80's and I do not ever remember seeing a dually on a 250. All the 250's I ever saw, light and heavy duty, were all single wheel. I did see a few single wheel F-350's ,but I think they were special order. Around here it is not un-comon to see folks add dual wheel to any 8 lug trucks, you know how goes, budd dual wheels rear and strait wheels on the front. The truck you saw, did it have the budd type wheels on the front to match the rear? If not it is most likely a budd wheel add on job, mike
