I want long tubes, but i live in WONDERFUL NJ, does anyone know if you can get LT's that are 50 state legal?!?!? I know its a dumb question but thats the route i wanna go, all suggestions are appreciated, help me get rid of my ball and flange leak, this is like the last thing i can think of
I've never really thought of headers as something that would effect emissions, as long as your motor is tuned up and you have cats you shoud be OK. But if you must go that route, try googleing '50 state legal headers' I did and got plenty of hits.
I haven't seen any long tube headers for our trucks that are truely 50 state emission legal.
That looks like a nice F150. Is it an EB? The 5.0 looks nice too.
I wonder how many of us there are that have an F150 and a Mustang. I have one of each too.
i just want LT's that have the sensor bungs, i want them because then i can have the flange right at the bottom, yeah its an EB needs a paint job but i wouldn't sell it for the world, i want a zf trans for it though, the stang is a project but i love it too, i will look for more pics...anyone got any headers they like that aren't too bad on the pocket? thanks jake
just buy another gauge cluster and roll it back to like 100 miles more than your last inspection and swap it in before you drive to get your truck inspected and then afterwards just put the old one back in, in pa this makes you emissions exempt
My understanding of the emissions dilemna with long tubes is that there don't seem to be any that are setup for the egr tube. I want long tubes as well and I think you have to add the tube yourself.
Any exhaust shop worth their salt will be able to custom fab and EGR tube for you. It'll come off the y-pipe instead of the front if the header. There are indeed emissions legal long tubes. You don't think that people like Chip Foose and Boyd Coddington can legally sell cars that don't meet emissions requirements do you? They don't remain the original car, they become a "Boyd Coddingon" or whatever and have a 2008 model year when they build them from scratch like they do.
