same topic, new thread

As suggested, i started a new thread for the truck problems.

preppypyro- i was reaching for my purse after my dog knocked it off the seat. when i looked up, they stopped, and well..i didn't. it was an idiot move and i'm paying for it. well.. I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure that the bellhousing is removable. As to what i'm looking at in the door jam, i have no idea.

stangbanger- i just confirmed that the mounts are just broken. So shouldn't be too hard a fix.

the motor mounts were probably old and the shock of the hit broke them.

really look around for anything else broken or disconnected.

rear trans mount is an easy replace for piece of mind.

Kez, what your looking for is a sticker that tells the serial number and has a bunch of codes on it. It will have your rear axle code, and a tranny code, paint code and a bunch of other stuff. Should be on the drivers door jam.

Ill show ya a picture of the tranny I have which is a AOD.

Do you know where yours is broken...? Or maybe its just cracked and it can be welded...?

i haven't tried to drive it. when the accident happened it didn't shut off or anything. but since i pulled over to get info. and saw all the tranny fluid and water from the rad i didn't try to mess with it. since the fan is in the rad i don't think it would be too good an idea to start it. i've tried by hand, and the fan won't turn.

i hope the picture comes up..

i don't know anything about the tranny. i can't even tell where it is damaged..

That would actually be 3.55 gearing without limited slip differential (i.e. "one wheel spins the other does nothin" from My Cousin Vinny )

only one wheel drives the vehicle, the other just rides along.

google "limited slip differential" for more info.

i will spoon feed you just this once:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_slip_differential

open and non limited slip are the same.

you have open.
