neural safty switch bypass?

neural safty switch bypass?

ok i have a 84 f150 and i think my neutral safty switch is bad dose anybody know how to bypass that any help would be greatly appreciated

You should just replace the safety switch. Thats why it is there.

If you have an automatic, the switch is on the side of the tranny. Find the two red/blue wires and twist them together.

If you have a standard tranny, the switch is on the clutch pedal. The wires will be the same color as an auto, red/blue. Just disconnect the wires from the switch and connect them together. If you want a cheap anti-theft device, buy a regular on/off switch from an auto parts store and mount it somewhere hidden. Hook the wires to the switch and there you go.

If you are just going to test the switch then just poke a piece of stripped wire into the connectors on the side of the tranny like suggested.

I would not permanently run it like that though. Someone could get hurt.

hey thanks guys bypass worked great. i did price a new switch and it was presty expencive maby i can fing one at a salvage yard.
