I just called NTWonline.com for a price on a skyjacker 6" lift. I was told $1293 for the system w/o shocks. The hydros are 120 and the nitros are 100 for 4. The stainless braided brake lines are 109.69. Grand total comes to $1500. Why is this so much money ggrrrrrr. I don't know which set of shocks i should get, the hydros or the nitros. I don't know the difference either.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Jul-02 AT 02:47 PM (EST)]i would just go with the nitros, my friend has a 4 inch or 6 inch skyjacker suspension on his dodge 2500 diesel, he had hydros at first and then later down the road changed the shocks out and decided to go with the nitros and he said he felt no difference at all.
MGT221 - it's so expensive because the Skyjacker "system" includes not only the extended radius arms, but also new complete rear leafs. Those 2 items add about $800-900 to the cost of the kit. You can get it with blocks and radius arms for $985, including shocks (without brake lines) at rockymountainsuspension.com. Or they have a Superlift kit with radius arms and a combo 2" add-a-leaf + 1-1/2" block, with shocks, for $890.
I don't know the quality differences between Superlift and Skyjacker, but they both seem to be comparable from everything I've read. Have you heard anything pro- or con- about Superlift?
he actually had a 4 inch superlift on his old truck, he said he couldnt get the alignment right, overall he said the lift was ok but skyjacker is supposed to be better.
Yeah, i could have aligned it but it was really out of wack. I've heard many people say their skyjacker was still in spec after the lift. I don't like that big of a lift block, that would mean 6". I am going with the 4" leaf springs and the 2" stock blocks but man that 1500 really hurts. Going to have to do some thinking on this one.

Superlift parts keep breaking, bending and wont align!
I started with a 6" superlift, after about two months i was not happy with it at all! their fron coils are way too soft, after short time they drop about 1.5"s making the lift only a 4.5" lift. Then the rear of your truck sits A LOT higher than the front, which throws off the front alignment, it sucks! Radius arms snap, rear blocks rust and are brittle! So on and so on...
I now have a SkyJacker 8" lift w/ a 3" body lift, and I love it! Nothing to complain about. Check out my photos in the gallery!
If I were you I wouldn't waste time on a 6" lift, cause on a '95 F-150 that barely clears 35" tires. They will rub if you dont move out your bumper or do some trimming on the black plastic air damn that lines the bottom of the bumper. The 8" lift would look perfect with some 35" or 36" tires and costs the same as the 6" GOTO: www.4wheelparts.com they have the best prices and warranties!
