Hey guys! I have an '01 F-150 5.4 sittin at a buddy's house because it won't start. This has been doing this to me for ~2 weeks now on cold mornings. Here are the conditions:
Engine cold, temp outside cold: Cranks normally. After 2-3 seconds of cranking, starter sounds like it disengages. Spins, but not turning over engine. Starter is cranking engine just fine, but engine won't "catch". If I gas it while cranking, it will rev, but as soon as I let off the pedal, it dies. Speed/sound of starter sound normal to me.
Hot engine, regardless of temp outside: Runs like a champ
The past few weeks I've fought this condition. Priming, turning key on and off a few times then starting it, so on and so forth, I fought it and it worked. Now, no joy. Any ideas?

This makes it sound like the Idle Air Controller(IAC) is bad.
