Only Eight Miles

I got a new job and it's just under eight miles from my house. the truck is garage kept, in a semi-warm garage. What I'm wondering, with the weather getting colder, will I have problems because everything doesn't heat up, especially the exhaust and differential. I asked the dealer about a block heater, and they don't install or recommend them. Putting heat tape on the differential would be easy as we always have left over bits of heat tape at work. The vans at work rear bearings and seals take a beating, because they never warm up and aren't driven over 25 MPH. They are lucky to get 10K out of them.

The only seals I’ve had leak due to lack of use were on a 71 F250 on the automatic ,but it had sat for seven years .I’ll go with not an issue in your case
