Airbag Light

I have a 1999 f-150 4.6L, 4wd, 2 dr reg cab long box 60/40 seat. The problem is a flashing airbag light on the instrument cluster. After start up, the symbol flashes the code 2-7, this happens for three cycles then stays solid. Sometimes the passenger dissable key switch light is lit, sometimes it is not. I always leave the dissable key switch off. Hope somebody can help. Thanks.

Your Airbag deactivation switch Lamp (LED) is bad. Pretty easy to fix. Can get a replacement at radio shack. Just make sure you install with correct polarity.

The stock lamp is not an LED although some posters have used one as a replacement. As long as a bulb is being used, there is no need to worry about polarity.

Pretty common discussion: "LFC 27" in the SEARCH box (include the quotes) will find quite a few including the RS part number and instructions.
