ok now i'am on the board . sorry about the test below. I have a 2000 exp with the 1/2 late shift had the trans fluid flushed out. no help. i'am going to change the trans filter and while in there will change the 1/2 accumalater spring. (did the spring on a 95 t-bird with the same problem worked great after changing) question i have is, where is the epc selenoid and how hard is it to change? looking for some detailed help thanks
Not alot of info there but if I'm understanding correctly, when I had a "delayed" shift from 1 to 2 (felt kind of like a weak shift kit or someone ramping up the shift point and line pressure with a programmer) it was due to a vacuum leak at the elbow behind the manifold. Not sure if this is what you are seeing but its a couple dollar fix if so. Mine ran fine with no codes when this was happening.
what is happining is that it hangs in first up to about 3,000 rpm . then it shifts real hard with a thumo into 2nd gear . all other shifts are fine . when comming to a stop its fine , no noise on the down shift. thanks in advance to
all that answer.
