I just thought this might be fun to do. Let everyone know what your favorite vehicle you ever owned was. THe vehicle that no matter how much it cost you would pay it just to have it back. I think mine would have to be the 1979 Ford F150 Ranger, it had a 351W, auto, 31", that thing was a beast.
1974 dodge charger, red with white interior, bucket seats, 400cid, 4bbl, auto. on floor, loaded with every available option. Looked super and ran great. I've regretted letting it go since then and that was over 25 years ago. I think that this was perhaps the best looking car ever manufactured.
had to vote other because you left out JEEP my 2 favorites have been jeeps. a fairly stock 86 cj7 and a 92 jeep cherokee with quite a few mods to the motor and suspension.
Mine would be a toss between my 66 Fairlane 2dr Hardtop, baby blue, dark blue interior 289 and a c4.
Or the 65 thunderbird Landau dark blue, blue and white interior 390 c6 cruise o matic

I can't really pick my favorite truck, since each one I've had was my favorite one at the time I had it. My '96 EB Bronco is the only SUV I've owned, as so wins the favorite title there by default. So, I picked the favorite car I've owned, and even that was tough. I had a 1999 Chrysler Sebring LXi coupe that was sporty, quick, comfortable, and got good mileage, and it got the nod. But the 1978 Mercury Cougar XR-7 that was my first car at age 19(I'd owned trucks up to that point) was just what I'd wanted at the time. I liked it a lot, and when the garage that it was stored in caught fire and totalled it, I did look around a long time to find one just like it. I could'nt, though, and by then, my "truck guy" side had taken firm hold and has'nt let go since.
I don't know if I want to even go there. The "BLUE MULE" was scrapped by the butthole I sold it to - western wheel cyclones and all.
I'll never sell a project truck to any of these scrapper jackholes again because they never finish what they are trying to do!
After all the stuff I put into it (and the HOURS!) I saw the new PS gearbox next to the guys garage with the hoses not even protected, because he just wanted the parts.....
My favourite is my 77 F100 I owned from 95 to 97. Not much to look at, wouldn't drive straight, wife (girlfriend at the time) hated it. But what a beast. 302, 4 speed, 9", reg cab long bed. Loved that truck.
Aside from my 56 F100, It would have to be a 1966 GTO that I bought new. 389 C.I., Tri Power, 4-speed, 360 H.P.
8 months = 8 tickets and 5 days in jail which I deserved. I was smart enough to sell the car back to the dealer when I was released from jail. I have not had a speeding ticket in the 42 years since.
I would say mine was my 66 Bronco. It was ugly, rusty and cold in the winter. It would go anywhere and do anything that I asked. But I guess I love the truck I have now and the one before it.
My favorite vehicle (that I've owned) has to be my '85 Toyota. It's cheap, still reliable, easy to work on, and sips gas. Sure, it won't haul a bunch of weight, or go 65mph...but I still love it for some reason. The aftermarket support is tremendous, and it's an exceptional off-roader. And 1/2 the reason I bought it...I don't have to worry about scratches, dents, paint, etc...It's just my beater!
Tough call. My personal favorite car was my '70 Challenger convertible. It was blue with the factory blue interior, 340 V8, auto trans, and power top. I was driving it across the country on I-40 and stopped at a gas station in Flagstaff, Arizona. While I was filling up the tank, a small car with Michigan plates pulled up behind me to get gas. Inside this car were 2 bleached blonde young ladies. One of them saw the California plate on my car and asked me where I was from. "Huntington Beach" I answered. She told me that her and her friend were on their way to Santa Monica, and then she asked me "do you like to party?". The rest of the night is history...
My second favorite was my '72 Chevy K5 Blazer. I bought it from a high school kid when I was visiting a friend in Oregon. I was fun to drive, but I had much more fun in the back. I shared some "special" moments with three different cowgirls back there.
I remember one girl who's mom insisted I bring home by 10pm. I would drop her off, leave, and park around the corner. She (the girl, not her mom) would then climb out her window, run around the corner, jump into my Blazer, and we would spend the night parked in the woods doing something other than sleeping
I sold the Blazer and bought my third favorite car, a minty '64 Ford T-bird. I remember taking my gf at the time along with two of her girl friends on a weekend camping trip to the sequoias. Things didn't quite get that crazy on the trip, but there were some very interesting moments.
Ah, memories... Cars, girls, girls, cars, I love them both... And I miss the 80's.
