Can I ask what has you thinking you need a new engine? Sometimes, it can be much simpler, and cheaper then that. Many people are in the 200k mile range with no issues, and Im currently walking around 191k.

That was my question as well. What's up with the existing engine?

I've had excellent luck w/ JASPER.

Only company I know of that pays parts, labor, fluids, towing.

I believe they have the best warranty as well .

Only had to file 2 claims in 13 years !

Excellent customer service ' tech support as well.

Good luck !!

( No I do not work for them, just a satisfied customer )

the local ambulance company could not get 6 months out of a jasper engine. they went to a local re-builder, and now get 200,000 miles out of the engines, and they are cheaper than jasper engines too.

jasper only replaces what is bad. they do not do a total rebuild of the engine.

Thats odd, we get great service from them.

I don't think thats true, they actually replace all internals,as well as upgrade,as well as dyno all engines before delivery.

They definately improved the E4OD's we got from them.Fords remans lasted about 15 - 20 k mi. Never replaced a Jasper.

Maybe they changed their program, don't know.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.

One of you guys is talking about transmissions, the other engines.

Isn't that a bit like apples and oranges?

Of course, a company's attitude toward quality and customer service always starts at the top, and in this case is the same guy, but I suspect the rebuilders and their management are different people, entirely.

These guys put forged rods in all of their rebuilds. I e-mailed them the question and got a fast response so I bookmarked them.
