the `86 I just got came with that underhood reel light, how does the light pull off? I was playing with it the other night because I thought it looked like the reel light my brothers `96 tahoe 2dr sport has, but I didn't want to force it off and break the damn thing.

Heh.... Things like those lights, well, I don't really care; it's a 25yo work truck,
I get what's readily available for a reasonable cost.

I also have an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Holley carb and Clevite
bearings and TMI pistons and an Engle RV cam and.........

You just pull it out and there is a little magnet on it that you can "stick" it where you need it.

They are pretty tight when they don't get used. And for you pervs, don't EVEN go there!

The underhood Light was designed by ITT, so it doesn't surprise me that it's on other vehicles.

As for the Intermittent Wiper switch and module, they are interchangeable 1980-1991 F-Series and Bronco.

Actually up to 96/97 will work, but you have to change 1 or 2 pins on the plug IIRC.

There is a writeup on the net somewhere.

The Wiper switch for the 92-96/97 is on the turn signal lever, though.

Update: Too $*%&!!! many errands to do and not enough daylight in the day? Anyone else not liking these short "days"? Especially here where the weather is plenty warm enough outside, but even then still somewhat limited as to what I can get done after dark.

Anyhoo, will get back down there sometime this weekend maybe. Been working on the interior and got the headliner back and installed late this afternoon.

Great info here. I too had been wondering how difficult it would be to add intermittant wipers, as my truck does not have them and here in Washington we get a fair amount of rain, and it doesnt always require the wipers to be on constant. can get annoying having to keep reaching down and turning it a click to get it to wipe once then turning it back off til theres too much water again, repeat.

Do you still have them? Do you know what year they came out of? I purchased a control from ebay that was DOA (only works on Hi and Park, which according to the service manual means the control is shot). Also noted that it didn't have the same lead for the washer motor.

I've been hating it.I was going to go to the junkyard Saturday to pick up a bunch of things, but I had to go spend time with the girlfriend, and by the time I got done there, all the junkyards were closed. So now I have to wait til next weekend.

Why didn't you just take her with you? To the yard that is.
