Tire Dressing

I would like to find something that will make my tires look nice and rich deep black, but not greasy. Since I have almost new tires now, I don't want to put different products on them. I just want to use one and keep using it.

I like the look that Black Magic titanium matte finish gives the low profile tires on our Cobra and Maxima. On my trucks tires old BFG TAs it looks like crap.

I have used many of the different tire dressings in the past and many of them sling off on the paint. I'm not a fan of that at all. I also don't want them to look like they are spray painted with gloss black. It gives the tires a cheap plastic look.

I thought about using Meguiars natural shine. What does everyone else use?

I hear great things about Meg's hyper dressing, just haven't gotten around to ordering some. But for the last year i've been using this:

http://www.partsamerica.com/product_...g/not/nt21.jpg

It say's "no touch", but what i do is let it sit for about 2 minutes. Then wipe it off with a blue shop towel. One shop towel to each tire, and it leaves a black matte finish. No sling and it lasts, at least, a week or two.

I like Mother's Reflections Tire Care for just the look your after. For the first hour or so, they do look greasy, but once it soaks in they look like fresh wet rubber. No fling and it doesn't attract dust. I am sold on the stuff.

My method is to spray it on, smear it around with an eagle one applicator (the old foam things) and give it a light dusting again (about half a pump for the whole tire). Let it sit over night and it looks like light can't escape them.

I just started using the Megs HD this past summer and love it. You can mix it to different dilutions for either a super wet shine or a nice matte finish. I'll never go back.

I like back to black. Stays a nice rich sheen for months. Been using it for years on the same gallon.

I,m in the market for something different, been using Armor All on mine. It attracts dirt and dust and if your working on your ride and you brush up on the tire, black all over your pants, ugghh. I'll try what you guys mentioned and i'll post back my results on what i like...good post..

Me too... i need something that doesn't attract dust. That tire shine is like crack... i know its bad, but i keep using it!! LOL

I wash my truck and i have to sit there and scrub my tires to get them clean, then as soon as i'm done, i put more of that sticky crap right back on them. and a week later they are filthy again.

Does it sling off at all? Where did you pick it up at?

That NXT looks good. Does it sling off? Does it last for a while?

I used to use STP tire foam years ago. That had the same problem with getting black on everything.
