IM been searching everywhere i went to six junk yards yesterday even and i cannot find where to find the linkage for a early 77 unmarried NP205 transfer case behind an auto c-6
Only a single lever and a linkage.
Just make one. Pretty simple really, push the sift rails in as far as they will go, place the lever about as far foward as it can go without hitting the body, and make a tube, or solid stock that will connect the two.
Materials are available at Home Depot of all things. You can even use some fancy rod ends if you really want to bring the "Bling".
what is the shift pattern of an umarried 205? straight up and down right? My 77 shift **** shows a weird box like shift pattern maybe a **** that was jst thrown on there by previous owner?

Some body prolly threw a **** in there from an Early Bronco. Some of the t-cases in the EB's (forget what years) had a "J" pattern.
ok made the linkage and fits perfect but still won't shift and i'm stuck in four hihg luckly i dont have a front driveline in right now . Im lost on what to do now. The pins won't come out past the fisrt click
Im thinkin how earlier i asked if the **** was different that instead of replacing just the **** someone took out the whole system and replaced it with another . because the original is just a one bar straight up and down the current one i have as to things down there requiring a side to side motion to engage the second plate down there
Are you sure you actually have a NP205? The shifter you speak of is for a NP203.
Does this transfer case have shift rails or shift levers?
Regardless you mmight just have the wrong shifter and the current shifter will not have enough travel or throw to move the shift rails far enough for full engagement.
