I did the same thing Neal did. Sounds like we got ours at the same place too. Mine was reman and still in the factory Ford box as well. I think I only paid 300 shipped for mine becuase I had a paypal coupon.
I got mine for $400 i think shipped and it is new, only thing is that it has a core charge so you have to send your 15* back. But they pay for shipping. MWFI - FordPowerstrokeOilPumps its the last one on the page.
If you had to send in a core then it is probaly a reman. Oh and the company on Ebay doesnt want your core back so you can have one on the shelf for dual pumps later on.
You can use your original IPR. But the later IPR's don't have the edge filter on the tip. But I think only the 95's have that, but I can't remember. Personally I think the edge filter on the tip doesn't allow the high pressure oil to bleed off fast enough with a 17* pump causing a jump throttle. But that's just my opinion. But to answer your question, you most certainly can use your IPR. And if you want a little more than a 17* pump, send it to Joey at Terminator engineering and he can tweek it a little for even more oil. And it will only run you about $50. Maybe less if you tell him Cody from Death Row Diesel sent you.
Hey Cody, I've been meaning to ask you. If I go with DIY Stage I injectors, would I be better off then to go ahead with the 17* pump, or would that be useless? I figure since I am running a stock EO4D, I shouldn't push it with Stage II injectors. Just asking for trouble there, right?
How much more flow do you get out of a TE SD pump? And do they sell them already updated or do I have to send them mine? Also can they do this with a 15* pump to make it flow as much oil as a 17* pump?
