Yep, it's the cheapest shipped that I've seen them.

Bought mine from that seller, not sure how long shipping will take from OH to IL since it's shipped USPS.

I'll take pics of the console side by side with the center seat prior to install.
Based on measurements that riggz gave me, the console is only slightly lower than the center seat (I think 1-1.5" if I remember correctly).

That would be great Dan, can you also measure how much further the 08 console extends forward compared to factory. I'm wanting to put a 08 console in my truck but I've got a 6-speed.

Sorry for the Hijack Clint!!

Yep, I'll get some aerial pics of them side by side as well

And measure the differences.

Shipping label was printed for mine on 11/10.....so who knows if I'm lucky it may be in by the weekend.

Going to paint the entire thing black since it will match my wet okole covers then.

I have a 99-04 center console (no brackets) in my basement as well......maybe I'll line all 3 up, LOL

I was wondering that too.

If there is any difference in heighth between it and the jumpseat, it is barely noticable. The 08 console is working out nicely as an armrest for me. My truck does not the the armrest on the seat, but with the 2008 console you don't need them.

My console came in today over at my buddy's body shop. May have time by the weekend to swap it, depending on work.

I'll get the pics with the center seat and 99-04 console for comparison.

FWIW, when I go to build a 08 on Ford's site, it automatically makes you choose an auto trans once I selected the captains chairs and center console.

Can you put your arm on it while driving, is it too low?

I hope to get over and paint my console tomorrow or Friday (painting it all black) and install it over the weekend.

Since it's been too warm for the snow to stick and the Bears weren't on until now I worked on the truck a little bit earlier.

Removed my center front seat and swapped in the center console. Bolts right in, only ~1.75" shorter than the center seat so it still works great as an armrest.
Main reason for the swap was the increased room for storage, lots of storage room in the 08 center console.
There is a power point inside the console.....I may wire that up once I get a chance, plug is on ouside of the console right along the passenger seat.

It does stick further forward. When I pull the cup holder out the front edge of the cup holder is about even with the front of the console for reference.

Old seat on the right (with a wet okole seat cover) with the 08 console on the left:

Looks good Dan, it looks like it will make a nice arm rest when you work your Joystick.

Yep, had the pedestal custom machined to get it to the perfect height.

The way the pedestal came, it was 6" too short.
