Veterans Day is always so special. My dad, my brother and myself served.
I hold my service to this country a high priviledge and honor.

I didn't mention that my wife had entered the army as an MP after working several years as a NYC EMT, and was discharged in basic due to bad feet. By no fault of her own, she was out, but wanted to stay in pretty bad. So I agree, that even though you are medically discharged, there is no reason to feel ashamed...for a lack of a better word.
Happy Veterans Day, though belated, to everyone, and that includes you Canadians, too. Normandy doesn't forget.
