transmission cable question

Quick question about the transmission cable( automatic ) The plastice clip that connects to the tranny. Is that something that can be replaced or do you have to buy a whole new cable? I wanted to ask before I called the dealership.

I encountered the same situation and was told I had to buy the entire cable assembly.. It sucked for a .50 piece of plastic.

what about a junk yard, the 4r100 and E4OD went into a lot of different vehicles. Should be able to snag a clip from a vehicle some where I'd think.
