My truck has decided to develop this terribly annoying squeak when I turn the steering wheel past a certain point... is this something that will go away on its own or will I have to tear the colum apart and put some grease somewhere to get it to stop? It's completely aggravating and I want it to go away soon
Dont know if its the same noise or not but mine was making noise at the bottom of the steering shaft where it goes thru the rubber boot. Sprayed a little silicone on the boot and no more noise.

I'll have to check that, but it sounds like its up in the column.
