So the shop finally has my truck all put back together and painted (everything but hood and roof). All thats left to be done is my chrome exhaust tips and the chrome mudflap girls put back on the fender!
It's still stock color- true blue metallic. But It had to get resprayed because literally every side panle was near destroyed.
Right fender- pimpled/ buckled from bumper crease here i hit a turkey and ford taurus at 65
Right doors and box- 2 cars drug themselves down side of truck, 1 car backed into my bed, 1 tree fell on truck
Tailgate- drank too much and backed over 25 feet of chainlink fence thinking the noise was the kegs rolling around in the bed, got rear ended by a bunch of stoners wearing their underwear on their head (seriously)
Left box side- while pushing the tree that fell on my truck back, a 12 inch in diameter limb popped up off the bumper bashing out tailight and destroying box side, car drug mirror down side of truck
Entire left side- someone didn't like the fact my truck completely fills up a parking space and keyed it down to the sheetmetal from tail light to headlight. Hole in the bottom of front fender that appeared to be a stray bullet from a .45. Driveby in front of my house in grand rapids plus the truck next to mine in Flint got its back window shot out. Not sure where hole came from but sure it was one of the 2 incidents. Also FX4 logo managed to anhilate someones mailbox last winter... i've since fixed the 4wd that wasn't engaged causing that incident.
So now I have the equivalent of a new truck. I love it, now she will get parked in the back of the parking lots whereever I go. Gotta keep her nice
She looks good! Now comes the hard part, keeping her out of harms way. Damn shopping carts, soccer mom minivans, rock chips, garage mishaps and flying goblins with axes. It's a scary world out there for fresh paint.
Don't worry, i wont have it back for a while, as it turns out the shop repaired a claim I specifically told them not too. They even gave me the paper work so that they didn't fix it, and now they say I owe a $1000 deductible... needless to say I aint got $1000 and I don;t feel I should have to pay $1000 if I instructed them not to repair the given area. Now it has evolved into a giant 3 way cluster __________ between AAA, McFalls Collision, and me. So now while my all fixed truck is just sitting in their lot I am bombing around in a whomped out 78 Trans Am I just picked up in NC over the weekend. Ironically it's not 70 degrees in Michigan like last week, and I really really really miss my truck
ALSO CAPS HAPPEN especially while typing inebriatedly lol
