My truck needs new shocks, and since i'm not going to lift it for a long time now, and dont want to put high dollar shocks in it. The stockers are still there after 85k miles, and 1 is leaking. I was going to hold out because I thought I was going to lift it soon, but I changed my mind and am saving for a mustang. Anyone know where I can get motorcraft shocks? I heard they are decent, or could someone suggest some cheap shocks that are decent in quality?

Good inexpensive shock of choice would be the Monroe Sensa-trac. Stay away from Gabriel!!! JUNK! For a firmer ride go Monroe Reflex. Those Reflex's are about as stiff as a KYB but cost alittle less.
If you want a performance improvement, stay away from OE. HTH.
Well, I went to autozone, no monroe shocks. Went to napa, didn't have any but could order some at over 50 bucks each for the reflex shocks. Went to ford, they want 40 something a piece for the OE shocks. So now i'm down to either Rancho RS5000s or maybe skyjacker. The RS5000s can be had for 32 bucks each, but come with a hefty 25 dollar shipping fee. Summit racing has them for 36 bucks each, with a 7.95 handling fee, and the front shocks are on backorder for 2-3 weeks. Talk about out of luck huh. I'm thinkin maybe skyjacker nitro or the other type, gas vs nitrogen i think, which ones should I get I don't know the difference. I think those are like 20 bucks each from ntwonline.com. Thats what the guy said, but that might be a special price with a lift kit. I never thought shocks would be such a PITA.

Check out our website (motorHaven.com) or shockwarehouse.com... if you have an Advance Auto they should carry Monroe's. So does Sears...
Question for all... KYB Gas Adjust vs. Monroe Sensa-Trac for the F100 trucks? Or KYB MonoMax for the rear? Opinions?

Motorhaven doesn't have any. Monroe's were to much, it's not that I can't get the monroe's its that they want 50 a piece for them.

I've been told to stay away from those, that they wear out quick. I decided to just stop bothering with it, and forked out the 150 bucks for 4 rancho RS5000s.
