I installed one of those in my truck, but the unit also had remote start. Anyways, if your vehicle did not come prepped with remote entry from the factory (which it most likely did not) you need a reverse polarity door lock relay module... If you run into trouble, I have pictures of some parts of my install that you can look at...

When I installed an alarm on my truck I had to deal with the reverse polarity door locks and make my own relay setup. However, my truck is an XLT and came with power locks. So, I would think for yours it wouldn't be too complicated. I think the worst part will be intalling the aftermarket door lock actuators. It shouldn't be too difficult.

Did it come with any instructions or manual?

What brand is it?

Is it keyless entry only or does it have any type of alarm to it?

it dosent have an alarm, i personally think there useless. only thing people do with alarms anymore is wonder , "whos alarm is going off now! shut it off!" , nobody cares to look...there pointless. if someone wants to break into your car , unless u got flamethrowers on the sides that deploy , there gonna get in no matter how loud the horn sounds off...........its just a basic actuators, with keyless entry. i belive it has everything there that i need.

Why do you have to put down other peoples stuff. I installed one because I think it helps. It also has starter kill. It gives me an insurance discount too.

I wasn't trying to say that there was anything wrong with what you bought. I was just trying to help you. The only reason I asked if it had any type of alarm is because that would pretain to what needs to be done to install it.

I just reread the post and saw that it did have instructions. How detailed are the instructions? Can you make heads or tails of them?

If you need a place to get power for the unit you can get that by using a ring terminal on the upper most terminal on the starter relay/solenoid, or from one of the fuses in the dash fuse box has constant 12v power. I would advise against wiring it directly to the battery terminal. I have seen that done for alarms, lights, stereos etc and for some reason it seems to often cause the battery terminal to corrode more quickly.

If getting power from the fuse box, instead of splicing/cutting wires, they make a little tab that allows you to get power from the fuse itself. I'm not sure what they are called, but an autoparts store should have them or try radio shack.
