2003 Taurus refueling problem
The last couple of times I have put gas in the tank. The gas flows slowly into the tank. I can only put 1/2 to 3/4 gallon in before the automatic nozzel shuts off. Can anyone give me an idea what could be restricting the fuel?

This has come up in some of the other sections, and folks have talked about an inner tube in the fuel filler or something like that -- maybe somebody will be kind enough to provide the real scoop on that.
However, don't discount vandalism. Years ago, some kids jammed apples into my filler pipe. Took me a while to figure it out. Fortunately, it had a nice straight run through the trunk, and I was able to take it apart and fix it.
