Stalling after tranny flush

I performed the tranny flush on my 5.4 SD Saturday and now get some stalling when coming to a stop at stop lights, stop signs, pulling into a parking space etc. Sometimes RPMs just drop way down only to have the engine rev back up. Any thoughts on what might cause this? There is also a slight lag as I accelerate out from a dead stop.

Under hard acceleration, the tranny shifts silky smooth and no problems at regular driving speeds or highway driving.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I just did a trans fluid and filter change, including the torque converter. I had that same problem where it would stall. Check your fluid level. Mine was low. Thats what took care of it for me, and no more problems. Good luck!!

I second the low fluid level. if its low it won't be able to apply the torque converter clutch release. Barney

Yes, it's low fluid that's doing it. That will starve the torque converter, which allows the torque converter clutch to drift on at idle.
