Truck was delivered September of 1998 as an 09'.
Damn battery!
Figured it would last longer than a decade.

If you had a diesel you'd be replacing two of them.

Me too!
I purchased my 2000 F350 in October of 2000. I just replaced the battery last month with 102,450 miles on the truck. Only 8 years old. Actually I never had a battery last 8 years before.

I went through 2 sets of batteries on my 05 Diesel, it now has it's 3rd set. Oems lasted 8 months, Optimas lasted about 2 1/2 years. Lloyd
