Well due to me having a new position at work I no longer have a company vehicle to drive back and forth to work. I need some aux. lights in the front and am lookin for suggestions. I really don't want to take bambi out with my grill. I'm also wondering if wiring them in to the high beams is legal?
Check the NY Vehicle code under lights and I'm sure it will spell out exactly what you can and can't do. My guess is no! I think you will find that Aux. driving lights can only burn with the high beams lit and must go off when the low beams are lit. There will probably be height requirements as well as adjustment limits.
Lightforce are great lights........If you wire into the High beams I would still install a switch.
My 2 and 3 suggestions for lights are Piaa and Hella
There are a couple ebay stores that have them at a decent price.......I will check on one of the other forums I go on and see if one the vendors has a deal going.
Only reason I suggest a switch iis...if you have to flash on coming people your high beams you dont blind them.
I will be back in a few at let you know if there are any deals going on
