'01 7.3L will not start

'01 7.3L will not start
My 2001 7.3L will not start. It cranks just fine, but while I am cranking it I hear a relay(I think it is a relay) clicking under the dash. Does anyone have any ideas of where to start looking for a problem?
We think it may have something to do with the security system, the truck had been stolen off a car lot before I got it, I had to put a new steering column in it and we never got the original key or key fob from the dealership. the other day I hit the lock button while I was in the truck then opened the door, so I don't know if it somehow activated the alarm or disabled the ignition or what. It may have nothing to do with it, but I can't figure out what the clicking is that is coming from under the dash.
