How high are the headlights out of spec? Could you get it in spec by putting smaller tires on and not messing with the lift? Just throwing an option out there that might save you from taking the lift off. You might be able to get the head light housings like they use on baja bugs and mount them below the bumper also. Good luck with this.
I dunno how much, but the headlamp beams can be adjusted down.
ya but not far enough, ive looked into every possible way out of it.... Most options i loose by buyer unless i get it signed off, if i loose the buyer.. Lift comes off and it is gonna be used for towing thats it....But hey ... itll be alright, this kinda stuff always works out.
what if you take the head lights out zip tie them below the bumper get it signed off then put them back to sell? you could even run some temp wires down to them to get them to work right.....

the issue is.. if i take it in with a stupid fix.. then they write me tickets for the other **** thus leaving me in the same situation.. untill i wind up with a stock truck.

does the ticket say you have to "take it in" because many times you can flag down a cop and get them to sign it and then just take the ticket and $10 to the court house, no need for the truck if the ticket is signed off.

I agree with Brady, I have done that with a tinted window fix it ticket.
Would putting stock tires on the truck bring it down enough ? It's not going to look all that great but if it would get the headlight low enough, your home free.

I don't know about that.
The violations are noted on the citation.
If you correct that, they have to sign it off.
If he didn't write anything else on there, why would they all of a sudden decide that you need to correct something that isn't noted on the citation?
You might go to an autoparts store, buy a set of road lights. Both halogen and non halogen are available.
Bolt 'em under the bumper.
You can wire them into the existing headlamp loom, then remove the bulbs from the headlamps.
Turn the headlamps on, only the road lights will work.
yeah that is what i was thinking but without buying lights, you also need turn signals, dont know if they have to be low or not, or are turn signals, lights, not needed if you use your hands?)....just dont forget.

If it is just the headlight hight you can get the lights like mentioned above or they sell headlight buckets that you just put a light in and you can mount it below your bumper and temporarily make a harness that will plug into your factory headlamp plug so the originals don't turn on. I agree that they should'nt mess with you when you get it signed off they are just going to be looking for whatever violation is on the ticket.

Id be scared to drive it on stock tires lol =-P might work tho
and what 30 for stock? 30/2 = 15 inch (below the hub)
26-15 = 11 inch drop right there.....and if you run with low PSI...also keep the 52s out back maybe get the truck to sit head down might get you an inch or so....
looks like you need to find some 30ish inch rims and tires to put on there....(have fun with getting your 52s off of there.....)
