We hauled a bunch of hay last Saturday and when I went out Sunday my windshield had cracked. It started at the top, almost in the very center, came down it about halfway, and then went across the driver and passenger areas. I am suppose to get a new one on Monday. I just don't know how safe it is to drive it like this. I really need to be able to get out to our farm because my drill bits and tap and die set is out there and without that I can't complete my gauge install.
if its just a crack it will be ok to drive. The windshield of one of the shop trucks has been cracked several years with no issues leaks or otherwise. If its spiderwebbed and dropping glass shards... park it.
Just 2 big cracks. Almost in the middle and going across in both directions. Maybe I can drive it out to our farm and back. It's about a 45 minute drive each way.
I,ve been needing one for a while now, all these mods been taking my money. A stone hit the middle bottom of the W.S. and a year or so later my 9 year old sealed the deal with an airball (basketball) to the windshield, now the crack runs both ways along the bottom, no leakies yet.
