I have no idea how they got this radio in my cab. Can't go from underneath or glove box as i have the factory air. I'm thinking maybe they went from the top? Does anyone know how to get the dashboard off? I can't find a single screw anywhere.
Well, without the factory air, I think I went from underneath. I don't know if you can remove the dash pad, and go from the top. Otherwise.....you might have to pull that AC!

What do you mean by "this radio?"
If it's the original, it was installed in the dash before the A/C was installed.
You need this before before proceeding:
1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog ~ Available on a CD from hipoparts.com for around 22 bucks.

There's no way you can remove the radio thru the top of the dash.
First there's the dashpad, which has a screen over the speaker. The dashpad uses special clips & bolts to hold it to the dash.
If you remove the dashpad (and you'll be damn lucky if it comes off in one piece, as it was glued on originally), underneath is the speaker and bracket.
How can you get those parts off from the outside? You can't.
EDIT:: REMOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TO GET TO THE RADIO!
Cool thanks!
And by this radio, its some junk radio shack special that doesn't work. Thankfully the PO didn't screw anything up when putting it in. Even the 2 metal tabs are still there for the volume and tuner. My main mission is to remove the AC/Heater control panel. The top lever isn't hooked up to anything, don't know if its snapped, spring/cable gone or what.
Cool thanks!

I just found a far better solution.
I just looked at the "exploded" view of the dash, which shows everything piece by piece (Illustrated: Body Section 030 / Page 12).
Guess what?
All you need to do to remove the radio is remove the instrument cluster.
It comes off as an assembly, just make sure you first disconnect the battery cable, so you don't accidently short out any wires, or electrocute yourself!
Once again, you need to look at the illustration before proceeding...
IMO, you should have the parts catalog.
Since every part is illustrated, the catalog can be used as an assembly/dis-assembly manual.
This catalog has 1961 pages of illustrations, 4849 pages of text.
I'm using this exact same CD. It was scanned from an actual 1964/72 Ford truck parts catalog and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need.
hipoparts.com = 22 bucks, a roaring friggen bargain considering what it contains.
Hey Bill, since we're on the subjects of dashboards, do you know if the entire dash panel (steel panel itself) can be swapped out on these trucks, or would it be a huge undertaking? Reason I ask, I'd like to upgrade to the newer heat/ac controls on my 67, especially if I install air. Other wise, I could just cut the dash for them.

It looks the same, but looks can be deceiving!
Uh...I guess you don't know, so here's the bad newz.
1967 is a one year only dash.
Not only is the dash different, but so is the radio, radio mounting brackets, heater and mounting brackets, firewall, instrument cluster, bracket under the dash the brake (and clutch) pedal is suspended from.
These pedals are also 1967 only, as is a ton of other stuff.
I dunno if you can even mount a 1968/72 dash on a 1967, because of the firewall and other stuff that is totally different.
If you do use a 1968/72 dash, you'll also need the heater, radio, instrument cluster (the '67's wiring harness is also different), the whole tamale!
Do you know about the right and left doors? They are also 1967 only.
Hmmm....Well, maybe I could swap cabs, if I really wanted to! LOL! I know the door handles are different on the 68's and up on the doors, is there anything else on the doors, like the hinges that are different?
Thanks for the heads up! I definitely will order the CD. Lots of work to do on this truck. I'm just happy i can drive it now, but want to fix everything.

Oh, there's a coupla things...
1967 vs 1968/72:
The door shells themselves, door latches, lock rods, window regulators, door & window handles, armrests, vent frames & handles, door lock remote controls.
Here's the deal: Fed Safety Standards (NHTSA) said that 1968 and later vehicles had to have door lock *****.
So, everything you see above had to be changed.
Same 1967/72: glass and channels, weatherstrips, division bars, vent frame retainers, upper/lower hinges, misc. clips and hardware.

The steel has a few spot welds running up the sides of the cab, and the top of the dash is spot welded to the firewall at the retaining lip for the windshield. Keep it '67. It's uniqueness makes it that much cooler than everyone else's.

But, can you put 68 doors on a 67???

Yeah, your probably right. Way too much work for what I would get for it!
Work like a charm Bill. Removed instrument panel, removed ashtray, removed heater hose that connects to the dash and the radio came right out. The top lever on the heater/AC control panel is snapped! Does the cable that connects to it control the valve on the heater hose? If so, can i get a replacement valve? That valve is rusted in position and will not move. I have warm air coming out of the heater, but its not very hot. Just warm. I'm wondering if its due to that valve or did '68 F250 just not have really hot air?

If so, can i get a replacement valve? No problemo, still available from Ford.
That valve is rusted in position and will not move LOL, so what else is new?
I have warm air coming out of the heater, but its not very hot. Just warm. The valve is rusted almost completely shut, so very little water is passing thru it.
I'm wondering if its due to that valve You bet! or did '68 F250 just not have really hot air?
The valve is still available from Ford as it was used on:
1961/72 F100/1100's / 1961/69 N, NT & T Series / 1961/91 C Series Tilt Cabs / 1961/74 Econolines / 1966/77 Bronco's / and etc.
