no fire to plugs
asking for a friend. he has no fire to the plugs replaced the coil and still nothing, is there a relay or something that could keep it from firing, nothing from the coil either. what are some ideas that could be wrong?

The connector the supplies the coil with 12v is notorious for not making connection. Put a small piece of bare wire in the plug and then plug it into the coil to be sure its got a connection.
IF not that it could be the ignition module on the distributor, it takes a special little socket to remove/install it.

Yes, check the connector. Mine had a broken wire at the connector. Insulation was good but the wire inside was broken. I would have never found it if it wasn't for a write up in the BII tech section. Unfortunately that link is dead.
