will add to ND suggestions, you can also have the original flywheel turned down and polished at a machine shop. i just did one on my 250 and it cost me 35 dollars. like ND said the ringgear can be replaced also. if you have a cutting torch and know how to do it you can do this by yourself also. they are replaced by heating them until the metal stretches enough for the old one to fall off and the new one heated until it falls on. i just cut the old one off as it saves a lot of time. dutch

If the flywheel has blue spots on it, you can turn it down till there's nothing left, the blue spots will still be there.
Once a flywheel gets burned - it's HIS-TOR-Y!
The bottom line is, do not ride the clutch pedal. It is NOT a foot rest!
The new ring gear is heated up and sweated onto the old flywheel.
The same process is used to remove the old ring gear.
There is blue spots on the flywheel. Its a ten inch clutch that got burned up trying to pull a 31 foot airstream. It was already half way slipping from the previous owner. That just finished it off. ring gear is okay. If it is for a eleven inch clutch, do i just get the eleven inch clutch to match up with the new flywheel?

C8TZ6375A .. 10" 300 Flywheel / Used 1965/74.
C5TZ6375N .. 11" 300 Flywheel / Used 1965/76.
EOTZ6375A .. 11" 300 Flywheel / Used 1977/96.
------------------------------------------------
EOTZ6375A is the flywheel that's for sale on ebay, but the info is wrong.
ebay ad sez: 1980/96 / Ford truck parts catalog sez 1977/96 > >
The reason? EOTZ6375A, which is a 1980 part number, replaced D7TZ6375F, which is a 1977 part number.
Mac's doesn't know that.
I do, because not only do I have the parts catalogs, I also have the O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) Catalogs.
Which I doubt Mac's has any of.
-------------------------------
I'm gonna say that EOTZ6375A will work.
It has the same number of ring gear teeth.
The same engine harmonic balancer was used 1965/79.
If the harmonic balancer matches the flywheel, you're good to go.
You will need to buy an 11" clutch & pressure plate.
Hi Bill, I am going heading out to pick up a 1966 mercury 300 L6 i am going to try to mate it to a 85 T-19. I haven't yet bought the clutch or flywheel.
Any suggestions on a 11 inch flywheel?
Thanks for your time Bill
