I started noticing a vibration while driving to work the other day. Felt like u joints but checked that once i arrived at work and they're tight. I cranked the truck left it in park and ran it up to the rpm's i was noticing the vibration at(around 1800-2000) and there was no vibration while in park. So i'm thinking its a transmission issue. When you let off the accelerator while driving it quits. It does it when in O/D or out of O/D. The truck is an 03' FX4 250 with only 70,000 miles this is the first issue or problem i've had. Anyone else had similar symptoms? Fluid in the tranny in clean and not burnt and the transfer case is also clean but i went ahead and changed it. I also checked the rear diff and plenty of clean fluid. and once again i double checked the u-joints. I'm afraid its the tranny. It still shifts like always doesn't slip or anything. what yall think?
Hmm, i got the same issue right now. Never figured it out. Trannys solid, transfer case is a bit shakey. Didnt think of that Jim. Good call, illcheck it out
