maximum safe boost
I've dropped the compression with a little piston bowl work, have a performance cam, and am doing 285 cc injectors. I'm doing some testing on a prototype compound setup from industrial injection running a phat shaft 62/70 with S400. The setup should be able to provide at least 80 psi boost, but I'm afraid of causing other damage even with slightly lower compression. does anyone have experience with the thresh hold of the heads with studs and/or fire rings? I can regulate the wastegate to whatever, and will probably go about 60 psi, but would like to know the limit. Thanks

80 PSI BOOST
IDK man but i just wanted to say you have a sick truck.
if i remember correctly i think the shop that did my ARP studs and unbranded "racing/sled pulling" gaskets (they didn't give me any info on them except they were really good) that it should hold 45-50psi
fire rings should hold more but i don't know how much.
consider my post a addaboy shout out on your truck and a bump to see if others can help you out.

I'll be sure to keep you posted. I've got an EBP gauge to figure out turbo efficiency, so I guess I'll go from there. 1/4 mile times were mid to high 14's with the best dyno of 501 rwhp, 977 rwtq w/ 165 cc's & single 62/70 turbo. We'll see what the 285's & compounds will do... similar setups have had at least 600 rwhp.
