I have a 2000 F150 5.4 and i was wondering if it would be possible to put and H-Pipe on with Flowmaster Super 44 or would it be better to put on X-Pipe with same muffler.
You can, but do you even have duals? It is often cheaper and easier, and just as effective to run a dual outlet muffler. You can also get cross flow mufflers in most brands which have an internal x pipe.
I like My X pipe.
If I was to redo my system,,,I would go with a muffler with the internal X.
Like was said,,,If you don't have true duals,,,you can use an X or an H.
Keep in mind too x pipes are better for mid to top end torque range and flow better than h pipes. X pipes sound great on certain vehicles IMO, but I think they produce a more raspier sound if you will.
On the flip side, h pipes will allow you to keep your low end torque and have a deeper throatier sound.
but i called a shop about it nd they said tht there wouldnt be ny room for an h-pipe cause of my cats, yea i have split rear but i want louder more agressive sound n other words more manlier

If you only have a split rear exhaust,,,that is your problem.
You need a true dual exhaust in-order to put in an H or X pipe.
They would need to cut your Y pipe and run 2 pipes.
In this pic you can see,,,Where the X is,, is where you would put an H or X.
ea but they said i culdnt put tru duals on becase of my cats
Find a new shop!!!
They have no idea what there talking about!
I have an 03 with true duals. All they have to do is cut the Y pipe after the cats and go from there with 2 pipes.
