Adding tips and tricks to the Tech folder

Just wondering if there are a few things more that can be added to the "tech folder".

Does anyone have anything further that can be a choice addition(s) that may be of significance that can be "pinned" without the need for searching and scouring previous posts and threads that get lost over time?

For example, I just finished a simple yet effective mod to my heated seats that allows me to "see" if they are on without crouching down and hitting my head on the window just to see the led light on the heater switch. Sometimes I would climb out of the truck and my leg would turn on the button without me realizing it until I got a 'hot seat', a not too welcomed feeling when it's already 100 degrees outside.
Even though this mod may not be worthy of a 'pinned' thread in the tech folder, I wonder what other updates or mods that can be of value.

Just a thought.

I am planning to remote some fiber optic strands paired to an LED. The Fiber strands will be mounted around were the 4X4 panel is located. The reason I'm using them is the tiny dot of light that will be emmitted. I'm going to superglue them to the LED that'll wired to the LED in the seat switches.

i'm not sure if where to find the code for the key pad on the drivers door is in there but that might be a good addition if it's not. also how to change it to your own code.

I believe the key code is located behind the stereo under the white insulation. There you will find a sticker with the key code located on that electrical box.
"Changing the code" should be in the owners manual.

As far as what I did for the heated seats, I will need to take a picture or two and post them for all y'all to see .

Benchwrench please do post photos. I need to find something because I am getting tired of taking something off the seat and it is warm from the heater being on.

What we could do is get a thread started with a list of ideas for the Tech Folder and then PM Maxium4x4 to see if he can get them added.

Benchwrench, would you like to start the thread? Keep it strictly for 'sticky' ideas, let it run over the weekend or for 1 week and then I'll PM Max and see what he can do for us.

Rep to you for getting the idea out there!
