i know the broncos are short wheel base and that effect the ride but here in louisana the roads are c@%p! i'm not sure whats on mine now except they are yellow, has no identification. would like info on some shocks that may help smooth the ride some my teeth fall out after a 15mi ride. this is a stock 95 bronco with all terrain 30x9.5 and i do some offroading nothing serious and not alot. plus the budget does have a limit thanks for anyones input.
Sounds like you may have some Monroe Gas-Magnums on there right now. If the ride is too firm, try the Monroe Sensa-trac. It gives you a smooth ride under normal ride conditions then stiffens up if you drive the truck hard off road. The Sensa-Trac has some type of special valving inside that provides a dual purpose. Stay away from junk like Gabriel. HTH.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Sep-02 AT 12:01 PM (EST)]thanks for the reply jon, i did get similar ones for my transport from midas. i let them do that work i havent had much luck working on that van always costed more at the end. they had the valving in those that helped just wasnt sure about the bronco with the 6 shock set up. i dont like the gabriels either.
You have a quad shock setup on there right? Thats what siffens the ride a little bit. I don't have the quad shock setup, and went from worn out stock shocks, to Rancho RS5000s and was suprised how much a shock can stiffen the ride.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .
That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.
mustanggt221 do you like those 5000 i havent heard to many responses on that shock, i have been considering those but have been leaning towards the monroe. yes i do have a quad set up.
I do like the shocks. I liked them because the price was right and they have a great reputation. I was going to buy some monroe reflex shocks but they were around 50-60 a piece. Ranchos were 35 a piece.
