3.8 IMRC issues
Have a 96 Windstar, 3.8L with codes for IMRC stuck open. It idles poorly and stalls coming to stops. Picked up some used control valves from junk yard but still same problem. My Snap On scanner is saying to check return springs? There aren't any return springs. Had to purchase new control solenoid because vacuum conn broke trying to remove hose. Have good vacuum, voltage and gnd at solenoid. Put vacuum to each valve but could not override spring tension which is keeping the valves open. They move freely and bushings are still in place. Anyone got any suggestions?
