Trouble code readers
Trouble code readers
I'm new to the forum so this may have been discussed before but I'm not sure where to find the answer. I have a ( new to me) 2003 F250 7.3l 4X4 short bed and am interested in trouble code readers. I do not need one immediately, but will probably buy one shortly. The Haynes manual pictures a few of them and I've checked them out online. Since I will not be doing major work on my truck but want to know what is going on if I have a problem, I do not need the fanciest reader on the market. Any ideas on an inexpensive ( under $150) reader that a novice could use.
Thanks for your help,
John

I bought the model 3130 by Innova...it tests the newer diesels that have the requirement of CAN (Controller Area Network). Got mine off ebay and was well within your price range! You may not need it now, but you will probably on your NEXT vehicle.
