Help Me Please!!!!!
I HAVE A 89 RANGER 2.9 WITH 2 PROBLEMS (1ST) REPLACED FUEL PUMP AND SENDING UNIT GUAGE STILL GETS TO A 1/4 TANK THEN GOES TO EMPTY (2ND) AND MOST IMPORTANT IS THE TRUCK RUNS GREAT TILL IT WARMS UP THEN IT IDLES ROUGH AND WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING IT WILL MISS AND WILL NOT REV UP CORRECTLY THEN ALL THE SUDDEN IT WILL TAKE OFF LIKE A BAT OUTA !!! ONLY DOES THIS AFTER ITS WARMED UP I HAVE REPLACED THE FOLLOWING THINGS, FPR,FUEL PUMP,PLUGS,WIRES,IDLE AIR CONTROL,FUEL FILTER,COOLANT TEMP SENSOR , I CAN ALSO TELL YOU IT HAS NO EGR , AND WHEN DRIVING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND GO OFF AND IT DOESNT SMOKE !!!!!!

Have you checked your codes? If the check engine light is coming on, you may have trouble codes stored. If so, they will give you some ideas as to what is causing the rough running. Auto Zone and Advanced Auto will check your codes at no charge if you don't have a reader.

Welcome to FTE.
Seeing as how you've had a CEL lit, it has trouble codes stored in CM, so have the computer scanned for trouble codes, or you can pull them your self, with the instructions listed in the "Tech Info" thread atop this forums thread listing page.
Then post ALL the code numbers found, as they can offer up good trouble shooting clues.
