I just went to a nearby junkyard and got a quote on some stock, look sto be mid 80's to early 90's (?) truck rims.
They quoted me $25 each. These are the Ford Spoke style stamped rims.
Is this too much for junkyard rims? They also have a wrecked F-150 4x4 that has a set of aftermarket aluminum "sawblades" (at ;east that's what we called them in high school 10 years ago). Did not get a quote on those yet cause I wanted to get some input here first.
The reason I went there to begin with was I was picking up some brake hubs off of a 1969 f-100 for my mom's '66. Paid 30 aeach for those and they are in really good shape.
Sounds good to me, just make sure that the rims aren't bent all to heck. Just by rolling them on some smooth concrete, and by watching the bolt pattern facing should give you an idea if they are straight.
or better yet make sure that you can bring them back if they are bent, make sure to get it in writing, then put them on a balancer so see if they are straight.
