A $345 accessory option states the system works up to 1K feet on Ford's website. Over 300 yards? Are these accurate stats? If so, I'd say that's a pretty reasonable price.
ehhh....its going to depend on how your trucks parked ect. If its a clear shot to the front window where the antenna is mounted...then its pretty close to 1000 feet i'd say...but if its through a parking lot with lots of other cars and whatnot...then sometimes its not 100 feet...I did choose the upgraded system with the alarm and the 5 button remote so I don't have to use 2 remotes....
does anyone know why you can not get remote start in the platinum edition?
i am also trying to figure this out. Im wondering if its to do with the side steps??? because the truck wont deploy them if the engine is running. as far as i have heard.
Thats all i can think that the plat model has what the others dont. I was also told that it's because michigan law dont allow remote start but as far as i can tell thats not true.
I called clifford and they said there would be no problem fitting one of there remote start systems in any car even with deployable running boards so i might have to go that route. Just crazy that a truck that high spec dont have it.
