Well, I've combed the internet here the last few days for as much info as I could find on the Ford C Series of cab-over trucks, and I haven't gotten much. I would have thought for a run of production as long as they had, and with as little changes as were made, I'd be able to find more. Don't suppose anyone could point me in the right direction? I'm just looking for general specs... options, that sort of thing.
Which was a generator truck--see the gibberish on the link.
Not much comes up. Numberdummy on here has a command of all things Ford, perhaps you could pm him for sources on manuals, parts etc.
We had one & 1/4 on the farm.... A wreck my dad never finished and cab off a '58 that was supposed to go on the wreck. Hauled the cab to the scrappy in the late '80s...scavengers got the mostly fixed, running like a sewing machine 330 equipped wreck after the old man died.
Thanks! Yeah, I saw that stuff too... didn't really get a whole lot out of it. Think I may have to break down, and see if I can't dig up a shop manual or something along those lines. I do know that I have a 370, and an allison 4sp. auto. I'd like to find some more info about the rear axle, and the braking system. I've already managed to fix the d/s window that didnt work, the primary cab latch, the spark plug that was falling out, the squealing belts, and tuned the hooley 4 barrel thats on it. Runs awesome now. Looks like I have some wheel cyl work to do on the r/r, and should really get 4 drive tires for it. Which I think I'll leave up to someone with a cage being that I value my life.
Little body work, a fresh coat of carribean turquoise w/ white tu-tone... and she otta be pretty sharp.
