Hello.I'm new here, but far from new to Ford trucks.I just picked up a 1966 F-100 2 wheel drive, shot box step-side.240 six cylinder,3 on the tree. The truck runs, drives, and stops. It's gonna be kinda a Winter project.I have lots of work to do on it,but I was wondering, what size tires to put on it?I'm going to go with modern radials. I have a set of 15 x 7 inch chrome wagon wheels.I'd like a kinda tall, wide tire.I'm thinking like the old 70 series tires. Before I spend some dough on new tires, what size do you guys recommend? Thanks.

I personally perfer 60 series tires on my ol' girl, I feel that it handles way better with a lower profile tire.
I found with 235/75R 15's it felt like it was pulling about 6 "G'S" around the corners. LOL
Right now on my 65 I'm running 205/70/15's on all four corners, but Santa is bringing me 215/70R/15 on the front and 275/60R/15 on the rear on stock rims. This seems to be the best looking combo I've seen on several Slicks.
