[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-Nov-02 AT 08:20 PM (EST)]I have a F250 supercab with Goodyear 265/75/16 from factory.
They are to noisy!!!! I do not use my truck at all for off road so ride is more important. I have read post after post and it seems the BFG A/T are on the list used by this board more often than any other brand. I only see the D rating on this tire. Is there a tire with the E rating ( 10 ply ) ?
And yes I am confused about what tire I should get.
my uncle has 285/75/16s on his 3/4 ton dodge that are 10 ply tires. i think they are made by courser. super swamper tsl's are also 10 ply but i doubt you want something that aggressive. i did a quick search for 10 ply tires and all the ones that came up were bias ply instead of radials, cept for the swampers. your local tire store should definitely be able to get you a good 10 ply radial tire.
If you think your stock tires are too noisy, you may not like the noise level on the BFG all terrains. Plus, if you never leave pavement, the tread may be a waste for you. My truck had as stock a set of Michelin XPS rib style tires, which last forever and are silent. They are an E range tire. Just an idea.
